Who Should Take This Course?
This course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies, as well as for personnel involved in emergency response.
Course Description
The AHA’s ACLS course emphasizes:
- Team dynamics and communication
- Systems of care and post-cardiac arrest management
- Airway management techniques
- Pharmacology related to cardiovascular emergencies
Skills are taught using large-group instruction, small-group stations, and case-based scenarios. Students will also complete a written exam.
Pre-Course Requirements
All students must complete the ACLS pre-course self-assessment and turn it in before class begins. This is required for course participation.
Important Registration Information
- You must use your own personal email and cellphone number when registering. This is required to receive and claim your AHA eCard.
- Arrive early — instruction begins promptly at the scheduled class time.
- Check your confirmation email for payment processing and additional instructions.
