Who Should Take This Course?
This course is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies involving pediatric patients, as well as for emergency response personnel.
Course Description
The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing providers to effectively recognize and intervene in respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest through the use of highâperformance team dynamics and strong individual skills.
The course includes:
- Case scenario practices with pediatric simulations
- Systematic pediatric assessment methods
- PALS treatment algorithms
- Basic life support and team communication skills
- A written multiple-choice exam
Pre-Course Requirements
All students must complete the PALS pre-course self-assessment and turn it in before class begins. This is required for course participation.
Important Registration Information
- You must use your own personal email and cellphone number when registering. This is required to receive and claim your AHA eCard.
- Arrive early — instruction begins promptly at the scheduled class time.
- Check your confirmation email for payment processing and additional instructions.
