Who Should Take This Course?

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in First Aid, CPR, and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. It is also ideal for community members who want to be prepared for an emergency.

Course Description

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to:

  • Provide first aid for common injuries and sudden illnesses
  • Perform CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Training follows the latest science from the AHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Course Format

This is an Instructor-led course that includes:

  • Interactive instruction with an AHA Heartsaver Instructor
  • Hands-on practice for First Aid, CPR, and AED skills
  • Skills testing for First Aid and CPR/AED

Important Registration Information

  • You must use your own personal email and cellphone number when registering. This is required to receive and claim your AHA eCard.
  • Arrive early — instruction begins promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may not be admitted.
  • Check your confirmation email for payment instructions and course details.

Health & Safety Notice

This course involves physical activity, emotional stress, and the potential for cross-infection. CPR training is physically demanding, both during practice and real-world application.

If you have a medical condition or history of cardiac issues, please consult your physician before participating. If you are currently ill or have an infectious condition (e.g., respiratory illness or open sores), please notify your instructor before class.
